Management

Introduction:

Management can be defined as the process of administering and controlling the affairs of an organisation, regardless of its nature, type, structure and size. It is about creating and maintaining a business environment in which the members of the organisation can work together and achieve business objectives efficiently and effectively.

The management directs a team of people that work in the company and coordinate their actions to reach the common target.

In another words, it is about maximising the use of the 5 M's, i.e. people, machines, materials, money and methods, and this is made possible only if the activities and procedures are correctly guided, controlled, integrated and managed in order to deliver the required results.

In fact, all tasks, actions and operations of the company are interconnected. It is the role of management to combine them in such a way that they help to fulfil the desired result.

The three management hierarchy levels form the management structure, which represents the role and position of executives and managers in the organisation diagram.
